| With the vision and guidance of St. Clair County and the Community Foundation of St. Clair County the Blue Water Small Business Concierge position was created. The main purpose of this position is to have one individual available to help existing or start up businesses connect with all available assistance resources.
The Concierge gives assistance to the local Chambers of Commerce, Downtown Development Authorities (DDA), and local partners who need help in sustaining and recruiting local businesses to their communities.
This service is provided to all local communities within St. Clair County and also the Village of Lexington free of charge. The goal of having the Concierge available to each community on a weekly basis is to create a solid communications network linking all relevant entities of the community. In some instances the Concierge functions like a clearing house of information keeping all stakeholders informed and insuring that no lead on a new job or business gets left behind.
