The December 11, 2008 Lighted Santa Parade was the best parade in years. Forty groups, institutions, businesses and clubs participated. Extra efforts were made to add lots of light to floats, tow vehicles and parade marchers. The parade returned to the tradition of ending at Historic City Hall, 300 Broadway, and that was a very pleasing feature to most everyone in the large, enthusiastic audience. The City Hall massing of lighted floats and the large crowd have inspired new ideas for more entertainment for next year's parade. Selected pictures from the parade are seen below.
